History
PMA East Michigan was organized to meet the needs of the local metalforming industry. Since our inception, PMA East Michigan has provided an avenue for its participants to network and gain exposure to the different segments of the industry through plant tours and a variety of meetings and discussions. At PMA East Michigan, we are continually improving our programs to help our customers with their changing needs.
About PMA
PMA is the full-service trade association representing the $91-billion metalforming industry of North America—the industry that creates precision metal products using stamping, fabricating and other value-adding processes. Its nearly 1,200 member companies include metal stampers, fabricators, spinners, slide formers and roll formers as well as suppliers of equipment, materials and services to the industry. Members are located in 30 countries. The majority are found in North America―including 41 states of the United States as well as Canada and Mexico.
PMA East Michigan District Supports Advocacy Efforts
The East Michigan District has contributed $1,500 to support PMA's 2005 advocacy efforts. The funds will help PMA continue to heighten the metalforming industry's presence in Washington, D.C. The association's advocacy agenda for the year includes focusing on raw material pricing and availability issues, health care reform, trade law enforcement and currency undervaluation. PMA will also be working closely with the Assistant Secretary for Manufacturing and Services, Al Frink, to promote policies that create a positive business environment for U.S. manufacturers.
The East Michigan District Board members encourage PMA's other districts to follow their lead and contribute to PMA's advocacy efforts. For more information or to contribute, contact Christie Carmigiano or Justin Ketchem at 216/901-8800 or govrel@pma.org.
PMA sincerely thanks the East Michigan District for its generous support!
